Atari BBS List 03/07/2007 http://www.atariplanet.info/ATARIBBS.TXT Maintained by Trevor Holyoak and Greg Goodwin (Greg single-handedly called and verified that all the dial-up BBSs in the United States and Canada are now either down or wrong numbers. He also came up with the new list of systems accessible on the Internet that are dedicated to the Atari 8-bit. Thanks for all the work, Greg!) ******************************** * Atari 8bit Support Systems * * and Chat * * available via the Internet * * as of 03-07-2007 * * * ******************************** ------------------------------------- 8 Systems Listed ------------------------------------- 01 The Boot Factory WEB: http://bf.amfband.com A8bit BBS: telnet://bfbbs.no-ip.com or: telnet://bfbbs.dtdns.net 02 Inside The 8-bit - (2 lines) telnet://TCPIPExpress.dyndns.org:8888 :8889 expresspro.dyndns.org:8888 03 MouseNet BBS telnet://atari-bbs.kicks-ass.net 04 Dark Force BBS (Run on a Mega 2 ST) telnet://darkforce-bbs.dyndns.org 05 ST Guild BBS stguild-bbs.dyndns.org 06 Closer to Home BBS cth.dtdns.net 07 telnet://irc.atarichat.net (Enter "atari" at login, skip the password (enter), and then enter a name.. will take you straight to the IRC chat.) It is included for the benefit of those that live there in case they are still operational.) Please keep me informed with updates to the list and I'll post revisions as necessary. In particular, if one of the BBS's is within your local calling area, please give them a call and let me know whether they're currently operational. All boards are assumed to be operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless otherwise noted. The format of the individual entries is below. Note that each entry uses at least five lines (all of which are less than 40-columns in order to make this easily 8bit readable): "Type" indicates the type of hardware used to run the board. "Status" is whether the board was up or not the last time it was checked. "Status Date" tells you when the entry was last updated. -- There can be one or more lines of "Notes". An asterisk (*) next to the board's phone number indicates that entry has been updated since the last version of this list. ## : [*] : : -- ------------------------------------- 4 Systems Listed ------------------------------------- 01 ABBUC Box : +49-5439-3265 Bersenbrueck (?), Germany Atari-8 : OK : 96-03-13 -- M-F 19:00-07:00; S-S 15:00-08:00 MET 02 ASB Zan Sweeds : +46-3145-8807 ? ? : ? : 96-03-10 -- ProNode 463 03 Beco Tel : +31-2063-26859 * Amsterdam, The Netherlands Atari-8 : OK : 96-11-24 -- Bernard Kok.
