I purchased an Atari 400, the 410 Program Recorder and BASIC for approximately $500 back in 1982. Only being 14 at the time, I mowed a lot of lawns and raked a lot of leaves in order to cover this small fortune.

One of the dreams of my youth has now been realized through the majic of online auctions. I am now the proud owner of an Atari 800 and 810 Disk Drive. If the other guys from my neighborhood could see me now!

My issue never having used a disk drive with the Atari I am wondering what disks I can use for saving data files. I think that only Single Sided, Single Density disks can be used but am not certain.

Additionally, any suggestions where 5.25 disks can still be purchased? Also, any beginners recommendations regarding what I will need as far as Disk Operating System software/books for newbies, etc.

Thanks in advance. Long live Atari!
