Command list req.  800XL mouse support?

Have 800XL no docs. Require command list Esp. commands to access 5'external floppy drive. Will XL support mouse input for either cartridge or disk based apps/games? (have aquired an Atari mouse) If supported,is a mouse driver required or available on the internal OS?
