Emulators. Why limit yourself to BASIC with only a READY prompt and catridges and perhaps try to revive and old 1050 Floppy drive and spend more money on a power supply? These are not logical if you consider that the entire 800xl 130xe and more have been FULLY emulated along with simulated floppies to use on them at sites such as this and others like the one which led mer here such as

These will get you the READY prompt and much more if you go there and spend time figuring out how to download, extract and use the many files they offer you.
Even if you find an old Atari floppy and get floppy disks you have to worry about how long until the belt drive rubber band inside wears out and cracks and crumbles or until the old floppy disks themselves lose their magnetic data.
The trend for preserving the Atari environment is to get it into the emulator and onto a CDR so it will be available well beyond the death of ancient ANTIC and GTIA chips lifespans.
