try cleaning your cartridges. The way you do this is to take a tooth pick and press on the little plastic pieces that open the cartridge (if it is the atari-made cartridge, that is) You take a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol, dip the q-tip and dip it in the rubbing alcohol. Next, take and rub the contacts with the q-tip untill it is clean.
