I'm wondering if anyone gave either help me with advise or hardware on getting a Atari 8-bit hooked up to a hard drive? Either would be appreciated. If you have a adapter and would like to sell it (one between a Atari and a hard drive) I would be happy to hear your price.

I have heard that the Atari 8-bit had two ways so far that hard drives were made usuable:

1) The "ATR 8000" which was made in Ft. Worth, TX that allowed the Atari to work with whole array of devices... 3 1/2 drives, standard IBM floppy drives, and amoungst other things a hard drive. The only limit I have been told was that it could not handle a drive larger than 20 megs.

2) The "Black Box", which was made in New York. That is all I know it at this time.

Anything that can be added to help this "quest" of mine would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Doctor Clu Greg.Goodwin@Chrysalis.org
